The HP ProBook 455 G7 is an inexpensive office laptop with good battery life. HP has equipped the ProBook 455 G7 with AMD's latest Renoir APU, resulting in noticeably faster performance. However, the octa-core CPU does not support SMT. The laptop was still able to achieve both excellent single-thread and very good multi-thread performance in our testing. Furthermore, the SoC comes with the IGPU Radeon RX Vega 7 that offers more performance than Intel's UHD Graphics. Regardless, gamers are setting themselves up for disappointment with this laptop. The iGPU barely manages to run older games and even then, the graphics settings have to be slightly lowered. That being said, the HP ProBook 455 G7 was not made for gaming. Instead, the device has been designed with business customers in mind. While the laptop's security features are a solid foundation for this use case, users will not have access to a smart card reader.
